How is map light post to work?

The map light switch just grounds one side of the lamp. In the opposite direction it allows the door switch ground circuit to pass through. Maybe the map light switch housing is not grounded well to the dash frame. The ignition time delay relay is a thermal device so it will get hotter the longer the door is left open. The dome lamp wiil get hotter the longer it stays on as well.

So map light should work when door is closed?.. put it wear it post to be, same thing, then let it hang down with ground jumper wire clamped on nut touching switch & clamping deff. places on dash, steel douse the same!... Someone before told me it might be back feeding with the red wire hooked up to lighter & pink sliced in, but like I said, I tried it the right way, with red wire on plug that has pink going both ways & the end of pink wire that was cut off, I used a clamp jumper wire & put on tip of lighter plug, steel nothing with doors closed, with switch up or down!
I have also made my on bracket & screwed in to the dash & made a hoe for the switch using the nut on it to hold it in place, steel douse the same!
