What is this?

Also I got my trans cooler lines installed and they run pretty close to the headers, I think they touch at one point. Is this bad? Because they are metal I could probably bend them to get some clearance.

And I got the cooler lines attached to the trans, but can left and right be mixed up? Don't want to have them opposite of where they should be.
