Im pretty sure the cam lobes is not a issue, it is a roller motor, doesnt mean it can't happen but we checked lash when we had the intake off last week and all was good-steve
maybe you can take off the fuel pump and check the timing chain, if you have some kind of way to scope it.
you will probably have to wait until after the season for this one... to see if the cam is still degreed the way it was when new.
do you still have records of the cam degree settings from when you built the engine?
