Who has the highest revving small block?

Here's a vid of a guy pushing his nova to 12,000 rpm. 289 cubes, probably bore stroke combo of chevy.

Same as mentioned here....8 to 9K for R5P7's but for 500 miles!! Like Will Smith said in Independance Day the movie, "I gotta get me one of these"!

That thing sounded awesome when he leaves! But near the end of the video it almost looked like the big-block was coming around him on the big-end.

I love the sound of a high-revving small-block just as much as anyone. I think it's like a signature for precision machining and assembly by the engine builders. I admire the guys who can put one of those motors together like that - it's a testament to their skills as a great engine builder.

If I were putting together a motor today, I would personally go for the lower-buck big-block stroker cause with my skills (or lack thereof) I would have a better chance of it staying together than a high-winding screamer :burnout:
