Faulty battery, bad alternator, or both (photos)

That was it!
Field was shorted. Already went and got a new alternator, put it on, tested it like you said and now got a reading of infinity.

Wow. What a roundabout assed way to test a bad alternator. Haha.

Oh well, at least I learned A LOT about wiring!
