Thought I'd start a "build thread" for my diecast Duster instead of clogging up the tractor supply thread like I've been doing.. :wack:

Anywho, the plan for this thing is to make it look like what I want my REAL Duster to look like someday!! Whether that plan will hold out or not Idk... I might just decide to leave it yellow... There was another one at tsc that wasn't broken anywhere but had a scruff on the roof so I may just end up buying that one and leaving this one stock since the body on this one is so nice.
Regardless, one of them may get sanded down, painted b5 and get the twister side stripes applied and maybe the hood stripes, Idk yet. I'll add pics of what I've gotten done so far...

Here's my 2 Duster's, wish the real one looked as good as the diecast!!

I bought this used, slightly damaged truck the same day that I bought the Duster and I'm still not sure if I wanna leave it or steal the wheels off it for the Duster...

oh yea, forgot to mention, 67 Power Wagon pretty well convinced me to ditch the stock under body, suspension, engine and interior in favor of all new parts from a model kit!!

Either the wheels or wheel well opening are gonna need some "adjusting" as the rear tires rub enough that they wouldn't turn at all if they were installed where they are... The car is just sitting on the wheels in these pics as I'm still sorta on the fence about using the truck as a parts truck.... I do love the look tho!! The front tires are a bit rubberband-ish but the tire give the car a nice rake!!

More pics...

Caleb,
What ya take for trade on those Mopar Rallyes wheels and tires? I can use a set of them I'm restoring an old Diecast Charger and need half decent "Mopar" wheels for on it.....

The conversion on the duster looks GREAT! You going through the whole thing with the frame? I mean, the new model frame, engine, and rear suspension and the whole ball of wax? I bet that will look good!

Yea I'm planning on it! What'll ya trade me for the whole bottom end of the car? Engine, molded plastic, and wheels?

dunno.....I guess a better question is, what ya looking for? LOL I got plenty to trade in parts, on engines and such....I may have a few wheels and tires, (I'll have to see what I got as far as that goes as I'm still "Collecting" LOL

Looking for any race car parts? Slicks, wheels, roll cage, etc? I have PLENTY more then I'll ever use but can't bring myself to toss away....Plus all sorts of "racing" motor parts, blowers, and such....Send me a PM on what your looking for and i'll see what I have from what your looking to get! We can go from there!
