James Garner of 'The Rockford Files' dies RIP

-
I think they'd kill each other to get the story out first if they could get by with it.

Rest in peace James Garner/ Jim Rockford.. I love the show and his wit.. And of course the women.. His Dad on the show was so cool.:burnout:

One of my favorite actors,R.I.P Mr. Garner.

One of mine aswell Anodybomber, another movie he was in is Victoria Victoria :color:
if I was on my home computer I would post a link to it.
RIP Mr.Garner and thank you.O:)

IMO, the best movie he made hands down was Murphy's Romance. Chick flick or not, it's a good one. If you don't think Sally Field is sexy in that movie, you got problems. In fact, I remember reading somewhere that Garner himself thought that was his best.

Back in the 60's an old family friend who was from New York was visiting in-laws there. He backed into a snowdrift and was stuck. While he was trying to get his car free someone comes across the street and helps push it out. The family friend gets out to thank the stranger, and it's James Garner! R.I.P. Mr. Garner

He played a great part in Victor Victoria. Along with Alex Karris.
Unusual part for him but we'll played and very funny.

Real bummer. Ive been into the old Rockford files lately, takes me back a few years watching those old episodes!

James Garner - what a classic. We watch Maverick all the time. He reminded me of my Dad - also an Okie. I bet the two of them are chatting together right now and exchanging funny stories.

I was very sad to hear this. He was truly a great man first, who happened to also be a great actor. Loved him in Rockford Files, and everything else he did. My favorite actor, by far. RIP and thanks for all your great work.

Still have the movie on VHS! And she is a very nice! Love his old car and his old ways in that movie! A real gentleman.

Really tough to find any actor that you can say you like everything they did. It's true with him, IMO.

Victor/Victoria ,was hilarious. Saw this on T.C.M ,a while back.
The Thrill of It All (1963) The 58 Chev ragtop, sinking into suds, and the look on his face going in... A good solid romantic comedy.

He played good part in the Ultimate Gift.
Be warned this movie is a tear-jerker. Plus it has a really cool 70' Coronet in it.
