I'm planning to do the "float" thing tomorrow. What I don't understand is why now. The car was running perfectly fine and then, "poof!" I will keep you all posted. Thanx for the advice.
Always Check the float level and the bowl is not dirty, that would be first suspect. Also check your coil as well. I had an issue with my dart right after I installed my MSD distributor and a new edelbrock carb. It drove me nuts for a few hours until I realized not only were the floats off but also my coil was intermittently going out. With the floats adjusted and a new coil all was fine. The coil was crapping out when it warmed up. It would crap out and then go back to normal after a few min of cooling off. So it's worth a look
A lot of coil issues can mask themselves as either a carb issue or timing issue.
I've seen a lot of those when a coil starts to go south
