1966 Plymouth Valiant Wagon......Scary Canary

The solution was to start finding a replacement runner and get it back on the road. I stumbled across a mess of 273 parts for cheap as well as a mostly complete 318. I sold off some of the goodies that came with the 273, pulled the rods/pistons out of the 318, ordered a $10 set of rings, used the best USED rod bearings I could find and stuffed it in the .060 decked block I was already using. I also used the 72 318 heads after unsticking some valves and new stem seals, tossed them on using whatever gaskets I had, and picked up a performer intake for $35 with a broken choke riser (whats a choke for anyway?).

I then sold the 318 as a 'needs rebuild' kit with an extra set of rods and other odds and ends....this covered the cost of the 'rebuild', and the 273 goodies (commando motor in boxes) and the cost of the 318 when I bought it. I made out like a bandit for sure but I only sold the 318 for $75...Now Im in the midst of building said 273...high compression and 8000rpm style:blob:
