Upgrading to electronic ignition help

I Do. My dads 440 had an old Mopar unit (factory type one not the Mallory built one) we bought new in the early 90's and we swapped it to a FireCore unit when the engine was rebuilt last year. Plug and play with the factory electric ignition and easy to adjust the advance with a kit from Mallory or there is a drill bit diameter to slot length conversion I found that works too. It was a nice set up, uses factory caps and rotor. As I understand the Mopar brand units have an issue with cross firing? I'll be replacing the Mopar unit in my 340 with one.

As per performance, it worked, the engine doesn't miss a beat and will sit you back in your seat.
As far as the cross firing goes could you elaborate with a little more info ??
I have a mopar perf unit and my car sometimes runs erratic. I noticed that I could hear sparking in the cap but haven't had time to delve into it.
No intention of hi jacking.
