That would be so cool to build clay mock ups and drawings of door panels and trim items. That seems like a job that would be a dream come true and then on top of it.....they pay you.

So DO it! Not every engineering job requires an engineering degree. There are qualifications and then there are credentials. Some people have one but not the other. Anyone who has rebuilt her own car, taken calculus and taught math has qualifications. And sometimes any degree counts for credentials. It's a matter of translating what you've got into the job you want.
