Summit Electric Cutout Kits Beware!

I never buy the whole kit. Just a pair of cutouts and then two pairs of header extensions with the rotatable flange and a pair of oval megaphones. That way I can cut them and put them where ever I want. Most people just leave the cutout with no end tip. It makes them sound different, harsh, less sweet.

If you don't run a megaphone type tip on the end of them they just don't sound as good. Imagine a horn section with no flared ends on their horns, in other words a picture a trumpet or trombone without a flared end etc. It just doesn't sound as good.

It makes a big difference, and it is a big crowd pleaser when you come loping into a show with them open, or maybe even punching it under an overpass.
