and what exactly is the centre section on the 8 3/4 you talk of?? its either diff, or axle casings on a 8 3/4.

Mopar Performance made an aluminum center section years ago based on the 742 center; they pop up for sale every once and a while; Mickey Thompson also cast up magnesium center section way back in the day, very rare, also based on the 742 center.
