So long, Tony Stewart
OK, let's assume that none of us have seen Tony Stewart's outbursts before or his aggressive moves towards drivers in other types of situations. If he is as experienced as some of you make him out to be, then why would he have gunned his engine in that situation? I am not a round track racer, but I would be very surprised to find out that they teach these drivers to gun it in that situation, knowing that when you accomplish that act on dirt it usually causes the rear to break loose. These vehicles were on dirt, not asphalt, and these are not motorcycles or NASCAR vehicles where you gun it in a turn to get the suspension to compress so it will hug the road. IMHO, experience would have caused him to do exactly the opposite of what he did, especially while under caution. I would believe an involuntary action before experience.
