First time for me. went to a car show at a local Baptist church yesterday and after the show as the cars were leaving the parking lot, they asked us to do a burnout if we wanted to. there were about 100 cars there. This parking lot had just been recently blacktopped. I couldn't believe it. Didn't get any pictures as I was all packed up but I participated. I wish I had known this was going to happen because I would have transferred all the 500 lbs. of crap I carry into Tylers car but still, I wasn't aware they would allow this at a newly paved church parking lot. Anyway I got her cranked up long enough to get her to shift into second gear and still almost lost it. Wait until next year, I will be ready. HeHe. Tyler pulled top 20 plaque and I received Best Mopar. look at this pic here of a 1959 VW with a tall deck 427 Chevy engine in it. Tyler went to school with this guy when he was starting to build it and never thought he would get it to work but he drove it in to the show. That is one of the roughest rides possible.

We have a local church here that's the same way. Car show, burn out right in the parking lot when leaving.

:worthles:

Did it look anything like my last one....

I have done a few Burnouts at church but never for a show. When I got my temps my dad took me to my church parking lot to show me what to do when my car over steered so I started young. Congrats on the trophy!

I actually won a trophy for a great burnout in our church's lot. It was in a 2003 Hemi Ram with the torque management disabled. We used to do something like an Octoberfest at our church. It was a talent show followed by a burn out contest followed by a bonfire. The burnout participants judged the talent show and the croud cheers judged the burnout.

Vdub does indeed look rough. There was a fellow out in Idaho that was putting a tube chassis under one...was going to have a Ford FE in it if I remember correctly. Guy was a bit of a hack so I doubt that the car was going to work correctly at the track...

I was kinda shocked when I looked over and saw the motor. It is all engine. and if you look at the pass. side fender, it is moved out a little to get it to work. It is not anything I would drive. He said it was rough.

This is me leaving a local cruise-in at a church in my Duster. Lots of good burnouts there.

Our Pastor loves to go to lunch with me in the Duster,He's a dodge guy through and through,Asked me once to switch the nitrous on and put the hammer down,I followed his advice LOL all he did was laugh and hold on,Hey there guy's too--Steve

We have a priest in Abie, Nebraska that drives an AAR Cuda and a late model Mustang. - The folks love him even though he accidentally burnt the local abbey down with an electric car he was constructing. He's been known to light the tires up on the 'Cuda but has been chastised by the local Catholic high school for doing it on their grounds.

That Beetle is cool but way newer than 59. Probably closer to mid to late 70's
