5.9 Magnum valve train sound
Well its all stock pieces, the push rods are hollow and cleaned out. I've got a bunch of oil in the top end. Everything is stock except for the new "stock" roller lifters with the oil hole facing up when installed. The head gasket is perma torque fel-pro. I just thought i may have over tightened them.
I cup up stock valve covers so i can see the valve train while the engines running. I'll get a visual and make sure its all good. I think if the oil is getting to them all and that seems alright. My plan is to loose all the rocker arm bolts and snug them till i cant rotate the push rod and do either a 1/4 or maybe 1/2 turn of the wrench for snugging them. Hopefully that some 15-40 diesel oil with ZDDP additive will help out in the oil department.
btw oil pressure sits around 65/70 then bleeds off to 50 and once fully hot at idle its at 15/20 psi
