Just like every other criminal and murderer.

I didn't reshearch the back story on this guy but there is clearly a few cards missing out of his deck. I saw a post that said this man has killed before I think. If that's the case then just end it. Mentally Ill or not this man is a very clear risk to society. Lock him up in a prison with a psych ward will do nothing besides possible allow another attack and waste money. Only other alternative I would entertain is a labotomy. A lot of people will say put him on meds and lock him up. Clearly the meds didn't work or he chose not to take them before this mess.

Also rusty I really doubt religions role in society had much to do with this. I have a distant relative that attended church his entire life. He was also a paranoid schizophrenic, bi polar and a slew of other mental disorders. He was very calm and collected 99% of the time. He would talk to himself a little during church but no one knew he was capable of some of the things he did. He didn't kill any person but he did a lot of things to animals that no normal person would ever Think of.

Personally I believe there is something undiscovered that takes place inside someone that turns them into monsters. People like Adam Lanza, Ted bundy, ed gien, Jeffery dahmer. Mental illness isn't the culprit here. It does magnify things and often might cause the thoughts to turn into actions sooner then later, but there is something in people like those that is much different then the thousands of other clinically insane people.
