Grand Jury declines to charge Tony Stewart

... And if NASCAR would simply add a rule that if a driver's feet hit an active track for any reason other than to escape a crash- you're banned for life, this could be avoided in the future. There's no reason drivers need to be on an active track except to escape a crash, fire, etc, where staying in their car would be an imminent life hazard. The BS with guys running after cars, or pointing, or yelling, or throwing helmets (ie, Tony Stewart himself) needs to stop...
NASCAR has already made a new rule about getting out of the car. They do not exactly specify what the penalty will be if you do, but I can guarantee that it won't be as severe as what you want. You can't ban someone for life for breaking one rule! Anyways, NASCAR really isn't the problem. This accident happened at a non-NASCAR track. The problem is all these little non-NASCAR tracks have different sets of rules, and then there are multiple sanctioning bodies with their own sets of rules. And so far there is no way you'll get all those parties to agree on a rule such as this. However, I did hear that Canandaigua Motorsports Park, where this accident happened, has instituted a rule now.
