I've done a lot of research on this problem/issue. From everything I've read the 4 speed Z bar will interfere with the 360/Dakota manifold exitunless you change to a hydraulic clutch. The P/S will also interfere with the 360/Dakota manifold. Even with manual steering (360/Dakota manifold) you would have to modify the steering shaft/column and/or grind on the manifold. The passenger's side shouldn't be a problem if you use the 360 magnum. But back to the driver's side...I've read that the early 340 (Pre 70) manifold will just barely clear. But if you have old stock motor mounts it might hit the P/S because the old mushy mounts allow the engine to sag. Some members have switched to the 67/68/69 V8 mount which are a little taller and inexpensive (raising the engine and giving you more clearance on the P/S). Some members put a few shims under the mount(s) to raise the engine 1/8" to 1/2" depending on how mushy the mount are. Some use the Shumacher mounts. If you're truly interested in my manifolds I can post the link that shows where other members have installed these manifolds in 65/66 A bodies with P/S and 4 speeds. I believe I will have ONE and only One Pre '70 340 manifold in the next few weeks. Now before you get too excited, the pre-70 340 manifolds are even harder to find than the post 70 manifolds (I have three post 70 manifolds right now). I would have to ask a little more for the Pre 70 340 manifold because they are so hard to find. If you are not aware of the cost of these pre-70 340 manifolds look at this ebay ad. [ame="http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-1970-CUDA-AAR-CHALLENGER-T-A-340-EXHAUST-MANIFOLDS-2863553-2863549-/231230987391?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35d670dc7f&vxp=mtr"]Original 1970 Cuda AAR Challenger T A 340 Exhaust Manifolds 2863553 2863549 | eBay[/ame] I'm not going to ask anywhere near that price because I believe in being fair with FABO members but I just wanted you to understand that I always have to pay a little more for the pre 70 manifolds so I have to ask a little more so I don't lose money. I normally sell the post 70 340 paired with the 360 "machined" magnum for $320 plus shipping. The Pre 70 manifold would cost an extra $35. That would still be less that half of the price you see in the ebay auction. In fact the manifold I'm supposed to be getting is the exact same casting number as the one you see in the ebay auction. Let me know if you want me to post the links to the site where other members have used these manifolds on their early A bodies. I do not want to influence your decision because I don't want you to buy something that will not work. These manifolds sell very fast so I don't mind if you decide to try another solution. Let me know and I will post the link. PS - I am sure of one thing....if what you buy from me doesn't work for one reason or another, you shouldn't have a problem re-selling them here on FABO because I can't get enough manifolds to satisfy the demand. thanks,Treblig
