Used this on Aircraft in another career. Worked good, surface didn't have to be dry. Actually worked better if it had fluid on it. But depending on area trying to seal. But I would view it as a temporary repair.
What year of truck and engine? I bought a pan for 5.7 hemi not long ago. Dorman brand seems like it was only 60 or 70$. I see your north of me but seems awful steep.
