Hello from Kansas!
After purchasing a surviving 74 scamp last Saturday I was excited to find the forum and that the A-body has such a following. I am only the third owner. Its in pretty good shape and has only set for about 3 years. She even made the 100 mile trip home under her own steam, just happy I didn't have to make any sudden stops because the wheel cylinders are shot and braking power is minimal. I've logged about 50 additional miles this week and spent my time massaging the /6 and diving into the brakes.
Looking forward to the combined insight and knowledge you all have to offer!

Thanks, Tom

Welcome aboard this great site Tom, I have found all the info and tech advice I ever needed here, jump on in and enjoy the great folks that has gathered when you can.

It brings back memories of me at 16 and driving my sisters 75 2 dr scamp w/318. It might as well been a 383 roadrunner because that was what it seemed like to me at the time. Have fun with it.

Welcome aboard Tom. The guys here are great for info, and you'll find alot of Scamp owners here too. I just bought my Scamp last Jan just south of Pratt and love it. Planning on putting a 380 HP in it this winter. Currently a 318, 904, with a 8 3/4 rear. Jim

Hi,
welcome from another newb. I have very fond memories of my Grandmothers 1972 Plymouth Valiant Scamp. Triple green, with silver green vinyl inlay in the seats. Dumbass here totaled here hitting a telephone pole at the entrance to Penn State University, Oct. 16, 1977. Smack dead center of the grill! Totaled, with all of 19,000 miles. After the accident, My mom told me she was going to give it to me on my 17th birthday. UGH!!!!!!!!!!
RIP "IDA MAE"
