Wow ....

And you couldn't pay the bill for about $800 in commissioned custom work last year and left me holding your parts. Karma indeed.

Anybody need grumpus' timing cover??? It's still here, albeit in a different color now than what he ordered.

Nobody wanted that color but you. So it had to be changed.

But good on you for helping out the old lady David. I'm sure she appreciates it .......

So you stiffed Leanna for 800 bucks? Man that wasn't cool. She works her *** off.

interesting....

Grumpus, you felt honor and then you practiced it, this simple type of honesty makes the world a better place!

Who pays $400.00 for an untested old engine and transmission that could be shot?
Pay Leanna for the high quality work she did for you and I will be impressed.

grump,
maid me feel good to read ur post.
u did the right thing, nice to know

my thoughts exactly..

i guess overpaying an old lady for an unknown motor is supposed to make up for ordering custom coated parts ($800 worth) then stiffing the poor woman who did the work for you?? your a real saint....:wack:

X2 :wack: I forgot all about this and I can't see how anyone could do this....

That's the sweet life of having no morals or living by your own rules. Do what you want when you want to whomever you want but only brag about the good things you do.

People never cease to amaze me as to how they can justify doing bad things and then convince themselves that they did nothing wrong.

Pay the real lady then you can brag.

Actually my facts recited from memory above were a bit off. It was 6 days before Christmas, December 19, 2013, and even with a $200 advance deposit -- which essentially covered the special order powder and the purchase of the Holleys that I had in my personal stash -- the unpaid bill was closer to $600 [not counting 6+ hours of rework I had to eat to try to get rid of the stuff after the fact).

The whole experience made for a depressing holiday season, and an even bigger pit in the bottom of my stomach that obviously never went away.

And ya'll wonder why I don't live on FABO every day anymore ......... << shakin my head >>

But I still feel compelled to sincerely thank those of you in this thread who have shown support and recognizing the "real" person behind the story.

You'd have to be blind, stupid or just as much of a DB not to realize the real story here.

Once again this thread would be so much better if you just paid the lady.

Do the real right thing here and you can brag about doing two good deeds.

Damn! That poll went left quick. Mrs. Cudachick, i know customers like this suck! But please don't let one maggot bring you down. Not everyone is like that. You sure tossed a sweet grenade in his poll.lmao. That had to of put a smile on your face. The nerve of some people to start a poll like this, knowing damn well...... only on the internet. For what it's worth, Those parts look great!

Grenade? More like a mine field now....so to set the story straight did he pay $100 or the $400 that he states he so unselfishly gave?

That WOULD be fantastic mo -- I'd actually have a Christmas for once. :-D

All the other issues brought up in this thread aside..........................
I would need more information.
Like was the lady driving a new Jaguar or a used Impala?
Secondly I would want to see either the obituary or a death certificate.

But generally speaking, I would not take advantage of a hypothetical situation as presented.
At least tell her what it really is and if desirable more than 100 dollars.
Maybe 200?
It has no warranty, but I didn't have to go to the junk yard an pull it and pay more.

He said he gave $100.00 mo. Not 400 like he said he did :glasses7:
