Sounds like what you are describing is similar to my '75, but dont think anything screws on. Tab sticks out near bottom edge of dash and bends straight up. fuse box slides down onto it.

Thank you ! That's a big help. There is no clip for it to hook to but I think I can make one if I can't find one
