New Member... 69 Cuda 340 S Owner

Well, here are some things to help you document the car:

You have an early (Aug 27) scheduled production date (SPD). That is the 827 on the fender tag.

The car is a 340-S (some people refer to it as a Forumula S). That is the A53 code. It was a handling and appearance package that included HD suspension, tail panel blackout and emblem, and black grilles. Also the fold down rear seat was optional. The lack of headrests and the black buttons on your door handles are sometimes associated with early production 1969s, as they switched to full chrome sometime around January of 1969.

From your picture, it looks like you might have the medium length back up housings. The short ones are VERY short.

I have Galen's white book at home, but here is a site with production numbers
http://www.plymouthbarracuda.net/information/1969-barracuda-production.shtml

Car is one of 1,431 340-S cars, with no breakdown between Fastback and Notchback, 4 speed or auto.
