I really prefer it to be a live recording as opposed to the studio version! Put on The Rolling Stones "Get Yer Ya Ya's Out" , The Doors "Absolutely Live", or The Who's "Live at Leeds" album, you get a firsthand blast of what they sounded like in their day, and with nothing to hide behind but their instruments!! Even today with YouTube going, you get a real good idea of who can still hold their own and why!
