inserting pics

I am hoping someone can help me with inserting more then one pic into my threads as I go instead of having to put all the pics together. Each time I want to put more then one pic at different positions in my thread it will only allow my last pic to show. Was wondering what I am missing? Not a computer guru here so your help is appreciated.
