Originally the fender tag says v6 with 3 speed. Now when I purchased it, it had a 318. Im not sure if he swapped k members or added to it to fit. If it is a 318 k member what mounting brackets should I get to put a 360 in. Thanks.

73-6 v8 k frame,just look for spool mounts for a 360 or get Shumacher mounts...I'm sure I spelled that wrong
 
318 brackets will work on a 360 also. You just need to shim one side with flat washers because the ears on a 340/360 block are slightly narrower. Drivers side if I remember right. Passenger side is the same on a 340/360 as it is on a 318. Good luck.
 
Forgot to add one thing. Not sure what car you're working on, but since this was posted in the early A body section....just wanted to let you know that k frame won't fit an early A body. Only fits 67-76 model A bodied cars.
 
No "V6" ever came on an A body K frame. Ever.
 
Doesn't look like an early A (62-66) K-frame. I think you posted in the wrong forum. Also, always tell us the year of your car and other small details when asking.
 
Early A K-frame...............you will notice there is no mounting for the Idler Arm....coz this is for RHD.

Yeah but; Are the spool mount Ks all the same between /6 and sb. I thought not. I had read that the for the F-bodies they were the same but as for Darts, IDK.
-As for the 318 brackets going on to the 360, thats a yes. However IIRC the 360 drivers side has 4 mounting ears and the 318 brackets have provision for only 3 of them.I cant comment as to that being an issue; I have the Schumacher Torque device on mine.
