Older 904 to Newer la or magnum?

IF I'm reading the posts right, a 71 904 should bolt up to a 95-97 5.9 mag. Am I right??

Jim that's right but I'm not seeing where the OP says he has a 71 904. In his first post he says it's a 64/65 trans
