My observations:
1) cost prohibitive paint jobs will keep the newbies out of the bodyshop for paint.
2) cost prohibitive paint jobs will keep most everyone out of the bodyshop for paint.
3) people without the means to pay for a 7K paintjob are resourcefull; they will paint it themselves, learn and enjoy the process, and have a pretty darn nice car.
4) Most cars out there are not worthy of a 7K paint job. For example; if I had a real hemi, 4 spd. cuda, its would be worth the money to paint right....not a back yard paintjob.
5) some are really not worth; my 65 Barracuda??????? $8 for a qt. of Penetrol to seal what is there. good enough..... lol
