sb 904 valve body interchange?

I'm not 100% sure as none of what we have was removed from the original vehicles by us.
just wanting to fit a valve body from a newer trans (One with a cut out in the bell housing for the crank sensor I think?) into a trans that would have been out of a mid 70's car.
problem is the trans are 40kms apart, and one is still in a car. So I can't easily compare them.
