17 5/8" from the center to the bend on the inner fender.

Hmmm, well, I'm thinking there must be some differences in our cars inner fenders, Bruce. I took this picture to show how far off center your measurement (17 5/8") is on my car. FYI, I put a 'bit tip' at the center-line of the car, and the other one at the 17 5/8" mark. I'm pretty sure the engine is not going to be that far off center (?)

Anyone else have a tape measure handy? Perhaps you could simply provide the distance that the engine sits "off center" in the engine bay.

The 12 inch distance (measured from a straight edge down to center of fan pulley) seems about right, but I would like to confirm your reference point. I layed a 8' 2x2 across the fenders, which touched only on the outer edges of the fenders. Is that how you did it Bruce, aka BadSport?
