I've looked into building a strong 318. There are a few pages out there devoted to budget 318 builds and getting some impressive results. I know 400hp isn't a stretch at all with a little bit of work. A 360 is tempting however, I feel a little weird going that route because it was never an option in the Demon, however the torque numbers are tempting :twisted:

Right now I'll probably end up with a 4bbl and an edelbrock performer intake, some hedman headers and that's about it now. It only has a 7 1/4 axle in the back and I know those can't take a whole lot of power. I was going to stick with the 2bbl for now, but the monkey motion bs that is the factory kickdown linkage is too much to mess with. I might as well go for a little more power and get the nice Lokar kick down setup.

After I get the car moving I'm going to focus on suspension and brakes.....maybe.
