408 oil pan

true. But I seems people feel they need a pan upgrade just for the fact they have a stroker motor. Like if it was a 340 with the same HP, it wouldn't need an pan upgrade. It's a street car/motor that's not going to pull the front tires up or anything.

I see posts like, "what oiling mods do I need for a stroker?".

Even if it doesn't come anywhere close to pulling the front wheels off the ground doesn't mean it doesn't need help with oil control, especially if it's a center sump pan. My first 360 I had in my Cuda was not very fast (1.88 60') yet with the stock oil pan it starved the bearings on a hard launch. It was very visible just by watching the oil pressure drop quite a bit on launch then recover after the car was moving. IMO an oil pan with oil control baffles (whether it be a stock pan with baffles added or aftermarket) is a no brainer for ANY performance application and a stroker that generally takes off harder would be more subject to the oil running to the back of the pan away from the pickup on a hard launch and need help all the more
