Drag Racing is Dying

"Are you serious? Your telling me young crowds in the 70s weren't smoking pot in the pits or drinking or blaring zeppelin?"

I ran at Fremont Raceway sometimes twice weekly 1971 - 1980 and NEVER smelled pot and don't remember hearing any music period (how could I over open headers?).
