Throttle doesn't open all the way fix

I was having trouble adjusting the throttle cable on the dart. Either the blades didn't open all the way or they didn't shut all the way.

I took the gas pedal assembly out and filed the back side of the stop. took a 1/16 off and it works perfect.

Just thought I would spread the word.

Simple details, shut down the advance of big ones. Thanks, and another to check for.
 
why not just bend the top of the pedal assembly a little outward to allow the pedal to pull the cable further out of the firewall before it hits the stop
