well another problem shows up in the old 74 Dart
the dash cig lighter is not working. now its not the electrical has voltage
but what causes the element to stop working and can it be repaired.
If not, is anyone making a replacmement, I guess I could buy a new one.
But anyone know why the element goes bad?

Low voltage. :D

I know it goes through the fuse panel and the manual 6pk provided should show you.
Heck if ya wanted you could even connect the power supply for it to the amp meter with it's own inline fuse and you wouldn't need the key on to use it.

My car was already connected to full time power (factory), but not sure they all are, or were.
I like my stereo and lighter to be usable without the keys in it.
