does sealed off really mean sealed off?

Rivet in sheet metal or aluminum , seal the edges with " seam sealer "
It will close it off and also cut down on any rattling or vibrations.

I even laid beads where the panels came into contact with the factory metal to keep it quiet.
Stuff works great.
