If you're burning Pistons with a 1050 carb, your intake or turbo to intake piping was bad and caused centrifugal force to sling out the fuel before it made it to the cylinder. That's all explained in the 1971 book as to the do's and do not's of the intake system from the pressure side of the turbo, to the cylinder.
