Windshield Trim Installing Help

Sometimes when new clips are used the spring tension is to much for the moulding to slip between clip and body. A flat blade such as a putty knife can loosen these away from the body a bit. The clip has a small tang stamped into it that grabs the moulding. If this tang is not at the proper height it won't grab the moulding. No need to use hammers here. Just a close eye on
how the clips line up with the trim part. Sometimes new clips ordered for your car could be the wrong ones also. Tang at the incorrect height. Look to see how they work rather than blindly hammering on them. Can save you from denting your trim.
