Need advice on my 318

just to note also, not suggesting just saying, the kb pistons for that build are nearly $400 alone, not counting machine shop, cam,springs,timing chain etc. i'm in the same dilemma, debating the 318 build for the sake of keeping it a 318 or spending my money and going bigger.
