Never raced
before you go,make sure your car can past tech,go on the track you want to go to,see if they have rules for tech,or go on nhra or ihra depending on which track you go to and see whats needed for you et you think your car will run,seat belt,helment ,battery hold down and radiator over flow is always a must,you can go up to the line and talk to the starter and tell that its your first time ,most racers will help you and we can help you how to stage and get down the track,when you do your burn out,never start off in 1st,but 2nd go directly to 3rd,and let it pull it self out,also do do burn out in water,pull into box and stop right outside of the water,after burn out go directly to the line,look at the racer in the other lane to see if there ready to stage or might be,they may try to double bulb you which means they went up and put both stage lights on,but don't let the other guy bug you ,every one does there burn out or stage different,some like to go in last or first,put the top bulb on,then inch into the second beam,when both drivers are stage the starter will thow the switch if you want to get up on the convertor a little that's ok but might wheel spin more depending on your tires and pressure,some tracks have a timer,that after you put on the top bulb you have 7 seconds to get into the 2nd stage bulb,talk to track people or racers,never be afraid to ask anyone,we all help each other,the track I race at,has no tech,and all the require is seat belts and helment and tech your car at home,and my track only run heads up pro tree index racing,we can help you in any way
