They could have spent 20k on the fossil 340 and made 10 more hp, half the dependability, half the mpg and disrupted the earths gravitational pull by doing something other then what Chrysler did in the 70's

Don't get me wrong, I love the 340 in my Duster. And I wouldn't swap it for a modern engine. Not because they're made in Mexico (hey weren't a ton of these cars built in Windsor? That's Canada! Commie bastards!), but because I don't want to deal with all of the electronics. I like simple. But yeah, that new Hemi probably puts down 50-60 hp more than my 340, and gets about 2x the gas mileage. Ouch.
