Have one year to build a 360 turbo'd beast to about 600 hp. This will be a street/road machine - probably with an overdrive. May only see the strip once for a time on street tires at Bandimere. Have excellent assistance with the build, but need a few parts: complete rear axle - except brakes. Want 489 w/3.91's - assume this is a large bolt pattern. It's been over 40 yrs. since my last project, so pretty rusty on terminology & knowledge. The turbo will be custom & that's covered (headers & turbo), block, too. Would be interested in hearing about heads, want some kind of injection, so I can go from MN to over the Rockies w/o stopping to re-jet, pistons, starting to lean toward a manual tranny - just for fun, but an auto w/the right gearing & the overdrive might be okay, too. This car has almost perfect metal, but trashed interior - not bad for 45 years old. Leaning toward a metalic red, with custom red/black hood with functional scoops for the turbo and a stripe somewhere - probably similar to the tasty new Challenger look, but my Mopar guru is an artist, so I'm letting him have his way on a lot of the detail. I'm 66, so this is my second childhood. Have owned a '64, 426 wedge 4-spd, post Savoy; '67 Coronet 440 R/T; and a '66 (one of 22 model/yr) Belvedere I, HP2, hemi 4-spd. All gone now. :pale:
