Another Mopar Off My Bucket List - Barracuda Fastback

John, the house looks great. Were you on HGTV the other night re-habbing a house. Now I know where you get all the extra money for the car's.:burnout:

LOL. I wish this house was more than a money pit. It's been a nightmare. Vandalism and theft has cost me thousands. I've probably replaced over 30 windows in it over the past 10 years. Every light and plumbing fixture was destroyed. Vandals spray painted the interior walls and gouged the wooden floors. When I purchased new supplies (new fixtures and wiring supplies) they were stolen. There was a lot of gingerbread trim on the inside next to the big sliding doors and they cut it out and stole it. They destroyed the new stove and refrigerator that I had.

The vandalism has practically bankrupted me. I was outraged when the mayor and city council ordered that the house be demolished. Every time we made progress we were set back by new damage to it. A lot of the damage to it was done by some of their kids.

I never had the funds to completely renovate the house so I'd attempted to do it in dribs and drabs as I could afford. It always seemed like two steps forward and three steps back. Problems started when Teresa's Hispanic brother-in-law began helping us with yard work. I received a call from one of the city council members threatening me if I was to sell it to any 'Mexicans'. Although the threat wasn't specific, they promised that they would make me regret the decision. I hadn't had a plan to sell it to any specific buyer but they assumed Teresa's brother-in-law was going to be the new owner. Most of the people in this town are great but there's a few assholes. The people that have gotten in charge are the tree hugger type that preach liberal crap and make it sound as though they are for equal rights for everyone (but they don't want some living in THEIR community).

Sorry for my rant but I'm sick of dealing with some of these people. It's sad because there really are a lot of decent neighbors there. My hope is to finish the house, sell it, and put the money into my folk's old farm acreage. I can't wait to move back out to the farm where the only neighbors I have to deal with are cattle.
