ARP main bolts oil pump clearance

My set is from circa 1997. So it's been a problem for how long? It may be the first the person on the phone has heard of it but it's been known for a very long time.

I bet if it were for a SBC they'd fix it that day and come out with 10 new sets in different colors with little bow ties on them and a voucher for a free mullet.
