Match Race 1966 ~ Valiant 273/235 HP vs. Belvedere 383/270 HP

What I expected, unfortunately. Now when do the "class legal modifications" ,start? My brain tells me more camshaft/better valve springs /whatever is legal on intake tract/full on headers/273 build. 383 combo, the same. The equal work to both, inches will shine,in the long end in class racing.(unless there is a change in NHRA rulings)....

A-Body-Bomber,

I can remember 'way back in the time machine', a 1966 Belvedere 383/270 HP
running in 'K/SA' in 1969 {12.50 to 12.99 Wt/Hp}.

It was a Class Winner every week. Of course, no one could verify if it was
a 'Legal Stocker' or not. As it was never 'protested'.

I'm sure the 'jets' in the BBD were bored out to 'infinity'.

Ran 13.90's @ 100 MPH like 'Clockwork'.

The name of the car.......... 'Clockwork'
