1967 Dart 270

So I was able to take a few pics of the motor and transmission over the weekend and thought I would throw them up here. I also have a few questions if anybody can help. Here is the motor that I am starting with. I am thinking of doing something that is around 11:1 with a noisy cam. I am still needing to get the block checked, and hope to have that done in the next couple of months!

I have been told that the 340 stock intake is one of the better intakes that you can use on a 340, but not sure if that is the case with a 1973 340 intake? I am not a huge fan of the notched piece on the passenger side unless an electric choke fits in it. I have not seen this style of intake with an electric choke so I am not sure how it would look. I am also not sure if the intake is any good in the first place. The metal plate that is on the bottom is not flush anymore. I am not sure if this is a problem or if it is something that can be fixed. I am also not sure if the hole that is on the left side of the bottom of the intake is suppose to be there. It is on both sides, but it looks like they either shouldn't be their or that they should be opened up more.
