roller cam question

^^^^ see RRR last post ^^^^ I myself am about to put a factory stock LA roller cam from a 89 360 into a '94 318 magnum (so I can run a mechanical fuel pump). I was hoping to use the stock magnum push rods. Anyone know for sure on this swap (done it, no guessing)?????
Nope. Not even sure that an '89 360 would have a long snout cam.

I know you can take a roller LA block and put non roller lifters in it and have no problems. That's why I was wondering.
1985-up 318s (all) were roller blocks- many came with flat tappet cams. I had a late '84 build 318 with 302s, roller cam spider bosses tapped, but it had a flat tappet cam. Cop cars from '85-'89 and trucks '85-'87 were the same way.

TBI trucks had roller motors with roller lifters. That's '88 for 318s, '89 for 360s. 360s prior to 1989 did not have roller cam spider bosses. All Magnums were roller cams.

Magnums and pre-Mag roller blocks can use flat tappets. HOWEVER- without the spider provisions you're in a bit of a mess on how you're going to keep your lifters covered and you as far as I know cannot use the stock roller lifters on flat tappet blocks. It seems as though if you're going to use a pre-roller block you need aftermarket lifters.
