roller cam question

The cam will work with the right front cover to allow the use of the mechanical fuel pump. I had Comp Cams grind me a roller cam on an LA blank to install in a Magnum block, but the short block turned out to be toast. The cam ended up in my old LA block with aftermarket 'linked" roller lifters. For this reason I can't provide the answer for the pushrod length based on experience, but I believe the stock Magnum pushrods would work. I don't think there is any difference in the base circle on LA versus Magnum cams. If they had changed the base circle, why would they have to cast taller lifter bores in the roller blocks? When I was swapping in longer pushrods to come up with the .080 of pre-load my roller lifter required, I came across a company closing out pushrods for $29 a set or less.

As long as you are all stock on the Magnum (deck, heads, head gaskets, roller lifters) you should be fine with the LA roller cam and the stock Magnum pushrods.

^^^^ see RRR last post ^^^^ I myself am about to put a factory stock LA roller cam from a 89 360 into a '94 318 magnum (so I can run a mechanical fuel pump). I was hoping to use the stock magnum push rods. Anyone know for sure on this swap (done it, no guessing)?????
