How quick is a 5.9 in an a-body

Had a bone stock 5.9 in a 71 Scamp with a 904 manual valve body, TCI Streetfighter converter and 4.30's that went about 13.8 @ 98-100. Way too much gear and was out of rev's before finish line. Mine was air gap intake and 650 carb but very close to what you could expect. Long story short, 13's is very realistic with the right combo of other parts
